Invictus: â€Å"Is it Hollywood or is it History?† No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background or his religion. People learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite. I have viewed the Invictus film and thoroughly researched Nelson Mandela and the people he encountered during his term in office and even during his prison time. Mandela has been one of the greatest inspirations in this world, he has shown people that even if you start life bad, there are always things you can mend back together. Mandela is definitely one of the most dedicated, encouraging people I have ever researched about. In this paper I will prove that the film, Invictus, was historically accurate by discussing the true historical people and events, summarizing the movie, and comparing and contrasting how the movie portrayed the true people and events. Nelson was such an inspiration and he influenced so many people in his lifetime, he was truly such a strong and straight forward person. Nelson Mandela was from a village of Mvezo, Transkei. He was born July 18, 1918 and he was raised in the small village. (history.com) While he was a child, they lost everything just because his father refused to go to court.
